Named after the highest picturesque mountain in the Chuave region of Simbu Province, Elimbari represents the finest and most successful smallholder coffee ever to be produced from Papua New Guinea. This superior quality coffee was developed over several years in consultation with reputable international coffee experts and has been successfully marketed overseas as a top-class specialty coffee. 

The unique and special quality of this coffee has been achieved through trader’s close involvements with farmers in the production of this coffee at all stages – from cherry picking to pulping, fermenting, washing, drying, storing, and milling. We then carry this through to our own storing, roasting and packaging.

The result is flavours of dried apricots and prunes with a medium to full body. Our favourite way to brew this coffee is by using V60 or Aeropress, however, due to its versatility, it also works well as a single origin espresso.

We realise that we came together in this company because we share the same philosophy on life. That to truly experience life is to make every day count. Not always with something big but learning to appreciate the little things just as much as the grand adventures.

This has inspired our entire coffee range from the Sunset Espresso through to The Road Trip and Escape. Each coffee represents a little bit of each of us and our lifestyle. We all came to realise that life is simply too short, that things change and you never know what is around the corner.

This coffee is made up of two organically grown and Fairtrade accredited coffees coming from Honduras and Peru (CAC La Florida). Although it is a medium roast it has a good strength with earthy notes making it a ‘punchy’ coffee. Tastes of caramel appear through espresso machines and hints of acidity with longer brewing methods such as the Aeropress.

Wonderful smooth creamy, marshmallow flavours with hints of orange. A great all round coffee.

Jhoan, like many of his peers is a very passionate producer. Operating his own farm together with his wife Rudi. Like many of the new generation of producers, embracing new production and fermentation techniques he is producing excellent coffees. This coffee is fermented for 80hrs and is organically certified.

This is another great coffee from our friends at the Green Collection that work directly with farmers in the Tolima district, a very isolated coffee growing region. They represent 48 small holdings from the area and we have had several of there coffees from different farmers and all have been amazing.

El Limon

Gentle florals of pea and honeysuckle backed up with peach and melon add layers to the expected toffee and milk chocolate. This is a great all day drinking filter coffee. Enjoy.

Huehuetenango is a municipality in the western highlands of Guatemala, running up to the border with Mexico and encompassing a lot of microclimates across its hills and valleys. Pena Roja, or red rock, lies in the foothills of Pena Blanca which peaks at 3520 masl.

Cooperativa Agricola Integral Peña Roja are a smaller co-op that work with a larger union of cooperatives, Fedecocagua, to help market and sell their coffee abroad. In return, they get extra investment and support as well as access to services such as agronomists that work directly with the union. In this manor they can maintain the traceability and character of their coffee and share the expertise that larger groups have access to as well as increase their network for best practises and issues fighting diseases. The co-op also provide a free nursery for children under eight in their community.

Coffee on the 81 smallholders’ farms is picked by hand, washed and dried on patios under the sun, often those patios are actually the rooves of houses perching on the slopes and hillsides. Further processing at the dry mill that is located in La Libertad takes place to prepare bags for shipping and export. The area contains of a selection of varieties that allow for a more secure crop diversity.
