These Rainforest Alliance and UTZ Certified Brazilian single origin coffee beans are brought to us by Pedro Humberto Veloso, who has been producing speciality coffee since 1977. Fazenda Mato do Salgado is situated in the region of Cerrado Mineiro a speciality producing region of Brazil.


This 194 ha farm owned by Pedro Humberto Veloso houses four families. It is located in the Mineiro region, known as Mata do Salgado. The area boasts very rich soil with abundant organic matter. This relatively small farm is surrounded by forests and as a result has a unique microclimate. The farm is all irrigated by a drip system, distributing its water in swimming pools.

This single origin coffee bean is Rainforest alliance and UTZ certified. UTZ is a sustainability program for coffee, cocoa and tea that operates in conjunction with existing brands. Farmers can improve their productivity, product quality and efficiency by taking care of people and the environment. This allows them to produce larger volumes at lower costs, which improves the standard of living of farming communities. Consumers can enjoy their favorite brand while contributing to a sustainable world.

In the state of Chiapas, you’ll find Mexico’s largest and oldest coffee producing regions – some farms can look back on a history record of more than a hundred years. The region is surrounded by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and divided into various microclimates thanks to the lush mountain slopes of the Sierra Madre Chiapas.

This coffee is decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process which involves sourcing the natural mountain water from Pico De Orizaba (one of the largest mountains in Mexico).

The coffee is soaked and washed in clean water numerous times and then water is passed through a caffeine filter before being reintroduced to the coffee. This natural process leaves a full flavoured coffee without any chemical residue, which is exactly how we prefer our decaf.

Organic DECAF Single Origin Coffee Beans

A uniquely special matured bean affected by long exposure to humidity with an immense flavour profile – rich and complex with spiced, smoked barrel notes and a unique taste. Roasted at Iron & Fire to really bring out the immense and complex tones reminiscent of dark smokey libraries and billiard tables.  A great digestif after a hearty meal – perhaps enjoy with a Cuban cigar… stunning.

The India Monsooned Malabar AA is a regular Plantation AA exposed to a seven-week process that consists of exposing the coffee to the humidity caused by the Monsoon storms that hit the Malabar coastal region, located between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. During the days when sailing ships were used, the coffee from India took about six months to arrive in Europe; during that time the coffee was affected by humidity and changed its flavor and appearance, when the Suez Canal was opened and the steam boats appeared, the time for coffee to reach Europe was reduced and the coffee beans were no longer affected as when in the old sailing days. Consumers in Europe started missing the flavor; therefore, the Monsoon process was created in order to imitate the effect of long exposure to humidity.

Indian Monsooned Malabar AA

This offering is a blend of Caturra variety lots from 11 different farms: Tierra Linda, El Naranjo, San José, and La Victoria, all of which work with the Albirs family. These farms are all located within a municipality called La Laguna and are grown under shade in sandy loam soil. All of the coffee has been processed as Washed: After it’s picked, it’s de-pulped the same day before being fermented for 18–24 hours. It’s then washed and dried on tarps or raised beds.

This is a complex coffee roasted to bring out the rich malty flavour with a mild sweet fruity finish.

This coffee comes from Cafetos de Segovia micromill, a labor of love from the Albir family. Sisters and owners Ana and Martha Albir inherited their passion for coffee from their father, who bought a coffee farm in 1991 and tended to it with dedication until political strife forced his family to leave the country and cease the day-to-day operations of the farm. In 2007, Ana and Martha decided to take over the farm and continue their father’s tradition. In 2015, they invested in a mill as well, and began their milling operation as Cafetos de Segovia in 2016, providing milling and exporting services not only for their own family farm but also for 11 nearby farms owned by friends and family.

Nicaraguan Finca Tierra Linda

This beautiful coffee from Ethiopia has a lot to offer, apart from being certified Organic with traceability directly to the farm.

This coffee is from a western region of Ethiopia not very well-known then for high-quality coffee, from a single farm, Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Farm, established in the year 2000 by Ahadu Woubhset. Tega & Tula are actually two adjacent farms, named after the two nearby villages of Tega and Tula, found in the woreda, or district, of Gibo, in Kaffa, Ethiopia.

The farm is certified organic and produces both Washed and Natural coffees, and it not only has a wonderful flavor profile but also full traceability down to the producer— right down to the the “block,” or subplot.

It is balanced, sweet and soft with lemon, grape, lime, orange and floral flavors. One of our current favourites!

Ethiopian Organic Coffee Beans

This single origin Guatemalan coffee is a beautiful, sweet coffee which has won multiple cupping awards and has also been a star at various barista competitions.

The farm is an estate in La Libertad, Huehuetenango, known for consistent quality. It was purchased in 1956 by Dr. Jorge Vides Molina; it was given the name “La Bolsa” because it is located between two mountains, and it is bisected by two rivers that cross the property, creating a kind of island where the mill, farmhouse, school, and drying patios are. This has been roasted to bring out its sweetness and smooth mouthfeel – its slight tart acidity and notes of caramel and chocolate make this coffee definitely one to try while it lasts!

Guatemalan Single Origin - Finca La Bolsa

Even in Brazil, a country with a long coffee tradition, the history of Fazenda da Lagoa is outstanding. The roots of Fazenda da Lagoa can be traced back to the second part of the 18th century when Portuguese settlers built a little chapel on the bank of the Amparo river and put up fences around an area that is the farm we know today. 

A place of outstanding beauty, and a haven for diverse Flora and numerous animals. To ensure this natural environment is conserved for future generations, all activities on the farm are closely monitored. Sustainable principles guide all cultivation and processing practices on the farm. 

Situated 1,100 meters above sea level near the town of Santo Antônio do Amparo, its 2,850 hectares include a natural reserve, woodlands, pastures, and 1,500 hectares of coffees. Streams from 40 natural springs supply water to the land and gradually converge into two small rivers that mark the borders of the grounds and are the water source for the largest town. 

Amongst the early settlers was a man called Manouel Ferreira Carneiro, a man of simple means, he built the first house on the farm, which prospered to become one of the biggest coffee estates in the region. Today Carneiro’s direct descendant, Joaquim Paiva, is one of the managing directors on the farm. 

Coffee cultivation is so much more than a business at Fazenda da Lagoa it’s a way of life. Only Arabica varieties such as Cstuaí, Mundo Nova,Acayá and catucaí have been selected and are grown in the plantation nursery according to strict sustainable principles. By protecting healthy soils, rivers and producing sustainable coffee, Fazenda da Lagoa aims to be an inspiring partner to its neighbouring communities.

Chuave district in Papua New Guinea's Eastern Highlands is part of the New Guinea Highlands, featuring the Bismarck range and Mount Wilhelm. This region is significant for coffee cultivation, particularly the Elimbari cherries. PNG is a megadiverse country, recognized for its extensive endemic plant species and marine ecosystems.

Coffee in PNG is mainly grown by smallholders in 'gardens,' with traditional plantations accounting for under 20% of production. The process involves picking, pulping, dry fermenting, washing, and drying on tarpaulin beds. The coffee is processed at Kongo's facility, where it's selected, sorted, and exported.

The Arusha varietal, likely from Typica lineage, is found in Tanzania and PNG. Introduced to PNG in the 1950s, coffee was first recorded there in 1873 and grown in Simbu since the 1960s. Although thought to be of Bourbon heritage from Tanzania, evidence suggests it might be Typica lineage.

The judges at the great taste awards identified the beautiful ‘hedgerow berry bouquet’ and commented that this blend is a vibrant, balanced coffee with impact.
The blend consists of single origin Kenyan blue mountain coffee beans freshly roasted to bring out the beautiful, sweet flavours with a punchy blackcurrant finish.
