The aroma of the beans was impressive, with a mix of fruity and nutty notes that were immediately noticeable upon opening the bag. When brewed using Aeropress, the coffee had a smooth and velvety texture, with a medium body and a vibrant fruity sweetness. The Dahab natural beans shone through in this method, bringing a delicate floral fragrance and a juicy acidity that perfectly complemented the nutty undertones of the Kungu beans.
Brewing the Seasonal Espresso blend using V60 method produced a bright and crisp cup, with a lighter body and a more complex flavor profile. The coffee was brewed to perfection, bringing out the subtle notes of chocolate and nuts, while still retaining the prominent fruity sweetness. The acidity was more pronounced in this method, providing a refreshing and invigorating aftertaste.
In conclusion, Square Mile Coffee Roasters' Seasonal Espresso blend was an excellent choice for brewing using both Aeropress and V60 methods. The unique combination of 66% Dahab natural and 34% Kungu beans resulted in a well-balanced and flavorful cup, with a pleasant aroma and a clean finish.
