Silky and sweet its high notes of floral, bergamot infused in punchy apricot is enchanting. One of the first coffee pioneers to settle in the Uraga region, Feku Jabril invested in and built a medium-sized washing station in the well-kept secret of the Harsu forest in 2016. Named after his wife, Hannah Asrat, the washing station is nestled in a majestical but steep and difficult to access valley. Serving over 400 surrounding farmers mostly growing Welisho - a local variety responsible for the region’s distinct flavour profile - Feku has done wonders for putting Uraga Harsu on the speciality coffee map.
