We are more than excited for our first single-origin Kenyan coffee of the season! Baragwi from the Kirinyagi region is choc-full of zingy blackcurrants, creamy toffee and sweet fresh raspberries.

It's time to welcome Baragwi, the first Kenyan coffee of the season, and we have two words for you. Peaberry. Espresso. Because of small peaberry yields throughout Kenya this year, Bragwi results from a project between Nordic Approach and the Baragwi Cooperative Farmers Society. With 12 factories (also known as washing stations or wet mills) under the Baragwi Cooperative Farmers Society, Baragwi comprises small peaberry lots from hundreds of smallholder farmers from all the different factories combined to create larger peaberry lots. Following traditional Kenyan processing, the coffee goes through dry fermentation before being washed and graded in channels and dried on raised beds. Definitive of Kirinyaga, expect a coffee filled to the brim with fun, jammy berry notes and a toffee finish that will brighten up the rainiest of days. In short, Kenya + peaberry + espresso = sweet, tasty glory.
