ABOUT THE COFFEE
The ripe blackcurrant flavours of this coffee make it a joy served either hot or cold.
This coffee is perfect for the warmer weather. The fruity acidity and juicy flavour profile of Kamuyu AB work wonderfully as either a steaming blackcurrant burst of hot coffee, or equally well as an iced Japanese-style pour-over coffee. It is exceptionally bright and fresh, with a fantastically round mouthfeel and grape-like acidity. The light roast profile allows all the delicate flavours of this coffee to really shine, and it should ideally be served black.

BOUT THE FARMER
Kamuyu is located on the southern flank of Mount Kenya, at an altitude of 1700m.
The Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) consists of more than 6000 active farmer members, approximately 650 of which use the Kamuyu factory. The cooperative is organized around smallholder producers who use this factory for the preparation of their coffees (washing and pulping). These farmers have an average of 204 coffee trees each and generally farm food crops alongside their small coffee plots. The Cooperative puts a lot of focus on quality and are known for their meticulous sorting through the whole process.
