Santa Maria is located in a prominent coffee growing region called Huila. Coffee from this region is special because of the microclimate it grows in, which has vast mountainous areas and an abundance of fertile soil.

This particular lot is the collective effort of 15 smallholders from Santa Maria. The coffee was processed using a typical washed method, dried and delivered in parchment to a local quality control lab. The lab identify and separate the lots into different grades and flavour profiles.

Colombia has an unpredictable climate, so producers here are unable to produce large harvests. Instead, there are multiple smaller harvests each year.
