The farm Morada da Prata is the fifth generation of coffee growers and in 2011 they started a project to plant and expand areas with quality coffee, using technology and focus on quality. "We seek the best production technologies and invest in varieties and seedlings with productivity and quality potential, which are most appropriate for our region. We invest in processing, with a special focus on terrace floors for drying and storage rooms ", says Arnaldo, owner and co-responsible for coordinating the project with his sister Cecilia Helena and her husband Ricardo Moreira. After working for 26 years producing agricultural machinery for sugar cane, Arnaldo returned to the coffee industry at a time when the market was increasingly demanding coffee with a clearer quality rating. The conditions for producing high quality coffee are very favorable at Morada da Prata. And the market in Brazil and around the world, revolves around consuming coffee with better quality and traceability. All this results in more aggregate value. Arnaldo aims to maintain a tradition that is over 140 years old, by maintaining Morada da Prata as a "state-of-the-art" property in terms of outstanding production and innovation, while preserving the environment. Norð startet som Grünerløkka Kaffehus i kjelleren på håndtverksbakeriet vårt på løkka. Siden den gang har vi funnet nye lokaler på Tveita hvor vi hver dag kurser, brenner kaffe, tester kaffe og sender ut kaffe til kunder i Oslo og omegn.

Noe av kaffen tar vi inn selv, noe av kaffen tar vi inn sammen med andre kvalitetsleverandører. Det eneste som er viktig er at vi har første eller andrehåndskunnskap til gårdene eller kooperativene. Dette får vi kun ved å hente gjennom små leverendører som ikke er tilknyttet de store kjedene.

Så enkelt, så gøy.
