Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia

The Wenago Mill is owned and operated by Oumer Abudu. Unlike many other Ethiopian coffees, which are owned and operated as cooperatives, this Wenago is privately owned. Mr. Abudu buys cherries from about 850 different producers who live in Wenago, which is located near the Yirgahefe district of the Gedeo zone. Yirgachefe is one of the most famed coffee districts in Ethiopia because a distinct strawberry note can usually be found in its coffees. This coffee is no exception, which is just one reason we chose to buy it.

In the cup you will find blueberries, apricot, and floral notes in addition to that strawberry.
