Finca La Colmenita sits high above the valleys of San Pedro Necta in the Huehuetenango region of Colombia. Francisco Cardona Martin purchased the farm in 2002 and is a beloved member of the local community. La Colmenita translates, in English, to “the Beehive;” an appropriate name for the farm, given the large bee population that lives there and helps to pollinate the coffee plants.
