Several dozen kilometers from the famous Yirgacheffe, in the Guji zone, in the Hambela region, there is a large, 200ha farm called Hambela. The farm was founded in 2013 by three brothers: Aman, Michael and Tariku Adinew and is owned by their company METAD. METAD is a unique Ethiopian coffee company specializing in specialty coffees. The land belonged to the parents of the brothers and lay fallow for decades, until the brothers decided to embrace an old family tradition of growing coffee. The plantation has "organic" certificates, the company cares about its employees and the quality of coffee. There are many coffee cherries harvesting points on the farm. One of such points and the microlot collected in it is called Buk - from the name of one of the settlements. Harvested here, after segregation, are dried in one layer for about 18 days. The result is a very sweet and fruity coffee. In addition to the typical profile of natural coffees, you will find here a peach sensation.
