When I set out to find an offering from Peru I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for, but after sample roasting and cupping this coffee I knew it had a place on Little Giant’s 2021 lineup. This coffee is just a crowd pleaser, pure and simple. The creamy sweetness of nougat up front is balanced out with a mild and subtle hint of melon.  It’s also very versatile, and no matter how you like to brew your coffee the results are delicious. 

The coffee itself comes by way of the 124 female producers that make up the Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros de la Cuenca del Rio Marañón (APROCCURMA). Over the last five years APROCCURMA has been working with women in the coffee industry to help establish land ownership, and teaching organic and sustainable farming practices. Thanks to this the coffee is not only organic, but also Fair Trade certified. This coffee was ethically sourced by the family-owned and operated importers at Royal Coffee based out of Oakland, California.
