About Colombia Excelso EP Especial Tolima Decaf Organic

The Colombian department of Tolima counts with high quality soils and abundant natural water streams flowing down from three snow peaked volcanoes, with altitudes of up to 5,400 meters. With average temperatures between 18 and 22 Celsius degrees, microclimates are created that are perfect for coffee cultivation.

In elevations of 1,700 meters above sea level, the producer group Asprasar is dedicated to growing organic certified coffee. Motivated to foster teamwork and improve the quality of life in the Saldaña region, 94 producers came together to establish one of the first organic certified coffee associations in Tolima. Next to their commitment to a strong community they have also set the bars high for their coffee production qualities. Participation in continuous trainings on agricultural practices is expected of each member. This organic decaf coffee is a testament to these ambitious producers.
