BACKGROUND
The mogiana region in the state of Sao Paolo is one of the three most important coffee regions in Brazil. It is also in this area that Brazil's first coffee plantation was founded in 1817 in Paraiba Valley. The state of Sao Paolo is also home to Santos harbor, the largest export port in Brazil. The Mogiana region is named after the Companhia Mogiana de Estradas de Ferro railway company who built the “railway of coffee” in 1883. This improved the transportation of coffee and increased coffee production in the area. Mogiana has altitudes between 800-1100 meters and a constant temperature of around 20 ° C all year round. A good climate to produce good quality coffee.

This coffee comes from a farmer named Cleiton. He has three farms in Anhumas Hills, near the city of Sao Sebastiao da Grama in the state of Sao Paulo. He is the third generation in his family to grow coffee, his grandparents traveled from Italy to Brazil to work on the coffee plantations. In 1954 they bought their first piece of land.

Door exact te weten waar onze koffie vandaan komt, weten we ook beter of deze op een eerlijke en/of verantwoorde wijze tot stand is gekomen. Dat drinkt nog wat prettiger.

Naast branden, schenken we ook onze verse koffie met de hand op met onze filterkoffiebar. Deze zetten we in tijdens diners, festivals en andere evenementen.
