We want convey our passion for coffee to as many people as possible by offering an extraordinary coffee experience. It is important to us to communicate, that by the time the coffee ends up in the cup of our guests, many partners have contributed. For instance farmers, who share our passion for quality.

The espresso, we are serving as our “House-Coffee”, is from Nicaragua and was selected by owner Philip Feyer, and his roaster Nikolaus Hartmann (Süssmund Kaffee). Everyone involved is eager to trace the coffee back to its origin. Direct trading means that the barista and the roaster understand what it takes for coffee to reach its full potential on the farming level. We need to understand this in order to ensure the best possible quality, sustainable agriculture and adequate payment of the farmers.

That is why we travel to the countries of origin, to see for ourselves what the conditions are like. An example of a partner, who made such an adventure possible, is the Austrian Ulrich Salamun. He has been living in Nicaragua for over 15 years and is the founder of the company Biosfair Agroexport. He has devoted himself to gradually transforming the existing agriculture into sustainable farming of specialty coffee. This way the resources of the natural reserve Cerro Kilambé are spared and the rainforest and it’s biosphere in which the coffee grows, remains untouched. Therefore we are very proud to be able to offer this coffee.
