A first class espresso from the Sul de Minas region in Brazil ! Thanks to our new direct trade partner Timo Plötz , we can roast this super high-quality coffee for you.

In 2016 Timo moved with his wife and daughters from the tranquil Middle Franconia to Brazil on the farm of his in-laws . Up until now, coffee was only a side business there. But Timo completely switched the coffee production. From cultivation to after harvest. He planted new Arabica varieties, began to  selectively  harvest the ripe coffee cherries by hand and, as a trained carpenter, built drying beds for the coffee.

Unfortunately, unexpected frost damage on his own farm,  Fazenda Pinheirense, caused the last harvest to fail. But Timo's changed cultivation strategy did not go unnoticed by his neighbors and Timo does a lot of educational work on site, such as that coffee of higher quality also achieves much better prices . Thus, some have started to break away from the established structures that the coffee industry in coffee country Brazil has been cultivating for decades in order to get coffee as cheaply as possible.

One of the farmers Timo actively supports is ZéZé Cruz and he made this very sweet and tasty coffee . Timo relies on a yeast called  LALCAFÉ CIMA ™ for processing . By adding this yeast, the fermentation of the coffee can be controlled, similar to that of wine. This elicits the fruity notes from the coffee and the taste becomes full-bodied and significantly more defined.

Our ZéZé espresso has a very harmonious mouthfeel. The light acidity, like that of blackberry, is carried by an intense sweetness. We think of port wine and Amarenak and we are excited to see what you taste.

Geröstet wird ausnahmslos im Trommelröstverfahren – schonend bei niedriger Temperatur. Jede Kaffeesorte rösten wir individuell – die Mischung entsteht hinterher. Das Ergebnis sind frische und moderne Espressoblends sowie feine und ausgewogene sortenreine Kaffees zum Filtern oder Aufgiessen.

Der Einkauf unseres Rohkaffees erfolgt ausnahmslos über hochqualifizierte Rohkaffeehändler, welche überwiegend eine komplett transparente Verfolgbarkeit Ihrer Kaffees garantieren können.

Wir machen aus Kaffee eine Wissenschaft – aber am Ende geht es einzig und allein um Geschmack!
