We are having a lot of fun with coffees from India, and the beautiful Ratnagiri estate have provided us with a delicious decaff. There is all that full body chocolate sweetness, and there is a fabulous sweet dark orange note to it that cuts beautifully through milk. There is also the background spice note we adore about coffees from this estate, and are so unique to coffee from South India.
You can still have big chocolate sweet coffee, without the caffeine! 

At 117 Hectares, Ratnagiri is in the top 1% of Karnataka estates by size, they are family owned and they are pioneering India’s drive towards world class specialty coffee. Ratnagiri translates as ‘Pearl Mountain’ so called because of the silver birch trees that grow on the tops of the valley surrounding the estate. 

The estate is situated near Chikmagalur, one of world's top biodiversity hotspots. The coffee is grown under three levels of forest canopy, with insanely rich biodiversity and vast experience from the team growing, harvesting and processing the coffee. For all intents and purposes Ratnagiri Estate is an organic/biodynamic farm and also maintains official Rainforest Alliance Certification.
