This first grade coffee lot from the Uraga washing station in Guji was entirely handpicked by local farmers. Most farm work is carried out manually by the immadiate familiy members. The selection of grown varieties were developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre in the 70s. 

Coffee plants are traditionally intercropped with other food crops in the region and usually organic by default.

We believe that the best cup of coffee starts with the coffee plant. This mysterious variety is our bread and butter just like it is for another 125 million families around the coffee belt.

We are dedicated to roast only ethically sourced and transparently traded coffees. We are aiming for the highest traceability that is accessible for each origin we select.

By working as closely as we can with producers and exporters, we believe that it is possible to collaborate and offer the best deal to the farmer, the producer and the customer.

We think that the future of coffee is dependent on the efficient adaptation of sustainable agricultural techniques and projects that can create positive social impact in the producing countries.
