Márcia de Jesus Souza Borges and her husband Maurillo own two small farms in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The Red Catuai variety was grown at 1,200 m above sea level. The grains from the Sitio Nossa Senhora Aparecida farm fascinated us for their sweet and clean taste full of stone fruit, dark chocolate and grape undertone. This coffee bean reveals its potential in a perfectly balanced cup of espresso, which we also fell in love with in our roastery.
