Juanito Delgado Cruz is a second-generation coffee producer from the el Paraiso village in Huabal and owns around one and a half hectares of land. Juanito grows Caturra, Bourbon and Catimor varieties which are mixed together and planted at a density of 3500 plants per hectare. Juanito picks and processes all of his coffee himself and doesn’t rely on any contracted pickers, only during the peak of the harvest does he require help from family members, but he in return helps them with their picking.
