Floripondio is one of the more recent farms Agricafe planted near Samaipata in Santa Cruz, where they've been experimenting with growing specialty coffee in a region not known for coffee production.

Due to its high altitude, a tropical microclimate characterised by high humidity and at times cool termperatures, and a distinct soil profile, Floripondio is the ideal location for experimenting with different coffee varieties. Agricafe have planted over 50 varieties at the farm and hope to discover which are best suited to the land and this particular latitude and altitude. To separate the different varieties they have kept the original lemon and tangerine trees on the farm and sell the fruit to the local markets.

Floripondio gets its name from the Floripondio trees (commonly known as Angel's Trumpet in English)  that are native to the area and grow on the farm.

Even if you find it hard to appreciate this black beverage now, we believe it's just a matter of time before you come across a coffee that appeals to your taste buds. For this reason, we tirelessly search for and source the finest Arabica beans from around the world. These are manually inspected and carefully roasted at our own roastery to just the right levels in order to develop and bring out the complex and delicate flavors of the beans. The coffee is then cupped and, if approved by our team of SCAE-certified tasters and baristas, offered to our wholesale and retail customers.
