The 320 members of the Koerintji Barokah Bersama team live and farm on a plateau at the foot of Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra. Mount Kerinci is one of the many volcanoes in the Pacific (the area around the Pacific Ocean characterized by frequent volcanic activity and earthquakes. In this area of ​​40,000 km, there are 452 volcanoes and approximately 90% of all earthquakes on the planet). The eruptions of Mount Kerinci throughout history have ensured that the surroundings are lush and rich in greenery thanks to a deep influx of fertile volcanic soil.

The cooperative is managed by Triyono, which guides members in processing and roasting their own coffee. They have a fully equipped roasting facility, including a cupping laboratory. This is especially impressive given that the team was founded in mid-2017!
