This is a wonderful coffee from the excellent Tarrazú region. San Marcos is located in Southern Costa Rica, in Tarrazú, around 70km south of the capital, San Jose. The town is surrounded by the beautiful Talamanca Sierra mountains. The Tarrazú region is the most famous growing region within Costa Rica. The rich volcanic soil in the area along with the high altitudes (between 1,300masl - 1,800masl), seasonal rainfall & cloud coverage most afternoons providing protection for the coffee at the hottest part of the day, all combine to produce ideal growing conditions for Specialty coffee. This lot is made up of a number of smallholder farms in the San Marcos area.

The coffee is intensely floral with notes of jasmine & lavender. There is a wonderful sweetness and zing to the front end, that softens out and deepens. Very clean and juicy moutfeel. Scrumptous!
