A delicious coffee from Colombia produced by Ruben Garcia who is part of ASOPCAFA.

ASOPCAFA is an association of 78 producers based around the town of Santa Rita, in the Aipe municipality in Hulia, Colombia.

ASOPCAFA’s members hail from 13 villages in Colombia’s central Andes. The rolling mountains, altitude & climactic conditions provide excellent conditions for high quality coffee cultivation, with the flip side being the logistical challenges for the region’s producers. The remote location makes access a challenge, being a 2-hour drive from Planadas, the major town in the region, itself an 8-hour drive from Bogota.

The status of the area as ‘post conflict’ leads to some of the opportunity in the region, much underdeveloped potential remains in these coffee lands.
