This wonderful coffee is grown at the Villa Betulia farm in Acevedo, Huila.  Luis Anibal Calderón lives with his wife and 3 sons. He first purchased his farm in 2005. He began planting specialty coffee varieties in 2012, when he planted 5,000 Geisha trees on around 5% of his farm.

This is a unique pink bourbon lot that has directly been sourced from the farm in Colombia by our colleague Simon who has been searching Colombia for exciting new coffees for Carnival Coffee Roasters.

Pink bourbon is a hybrid of yellow and red bourbon varieties that were first discovered and grown in Colombia. The highlights of the typical pink bourbon profile are the strong floral notes and pleasant acidity frequently found in East African coffees. Pink bourbons also excitingly have a higher glucose content meaningly a fabulously sweet cup. 

In addition to coffee, Luis Anibal also cultivates plantains, bananas, cassavas and limes.

We have a super tiny amount of this coffee so unfortunately are unable to offer in a kilo.
