Variety: Arabica Catuaí & Icatu

Legend has it that it is no accident that the Chalabal Estrella farm in Guatemala produces exceptional coffee. Oral tradition bestows this blessing on the “Saints of Chalabal Estrella,” two mystical rocks that you can see as you take the road through the plantation to nearby towns. One thing is certain, its volcanic soils (Acatenango and Fuego volcanoes near the farm) are rich and organic matter abundant. The coffees are cultivated under shade at an altitude of 1750 m in the mountains surrounding the farm. All these elements forming a perfect combination to naturally produce a high quality coffee.

40% of the plantation is located in a nature reserve that protects forests and water resources, providing half of the water for consumption by communities living in surrounding villages.
