95% of Ethiopian coffee comes from very small producers. It is a "garden coffee" also called "semi-forest wild coffee", it is grown on small land on which each family plants coffee trees, fruit trees and vegetable plants.

The coffee grows there in the wild, in the shade of forest trees it is picked manually in a selective way, then it is treated by the wet way, a method which gives the coffee a nice acidity.

The Sidamo region is one of Ethiopia's most important coffee growing regions, located in the south on the border with Kenya and Somalia.

In Ethiopia, the varieties of coffee trees evolve in a “natural” and wild environment, far from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilizers of all kinds. Although rarely certified, the vast majority of coffees are naturally organic.
