Our new Myanmar comes from Hti Kham Village in Hopong. This area has developed itself into a true specialty coffee location over the past few years. Only 4 years ago, farmers were dependent of illegal opium production for local drug lords. Now they are committed to specialty coffee production.

Long Hay Village started in the 2017 season with a production and export of only 3 bags of coffee, and has through the years inspired other villages surrounding Hopon to also take a leap of faith and commit to specialty coffee. One of the other villages is Hti Kham Village! This coffee has a tropical sweetness along with notes of plum, vanilla and milk chocolate.

It is a natural processed coffee, which is sun dried. Only the ripe cherries are handpicked and sorted afterwards. The drying period that follows takes 13 to 17 days, depending on the weather.
