This coffee is unique among Ethiopian coffees in that the individual varietals have been separated and identified.

Varietal — Kurume and Dega 

486 partnering farmers from the villages of Banko, Gotiti, Chelchele and Halo contributed to this lot of Kurume and Dega varietals, which are native to the Chelbesa region. Their 2018/19 harvest was impacted by unseasonally heavy rainfall followed immediately by a quick cherry maturation which turned the cherries a deep, intense red.
