The Genji Challa is an exemplary washed Ethiopian coffee — sweet, clean, and citrusy. Perfect for filter coffee methods or as a sweet, light-bodied cold brew.

Genji Challa is the sister station to Nano Challa, born out of the need for greater capacity as membership rose. There are now 600 members split between the two sites situated in the Ethiopian highlands in natural forests.

Our latest coffee release in the Segundo Ortiz, from Finca Alto Roblalito near Nataga in Colombia. We were blown away by this when we tasted it on the cupping table, the creamy sweetness of a natural coffee (just like strawberry cream for us), but clean like a washed coffee (we’re saying blackberry and pineapple), this coffee is actually washed, but with an extended dry fermentation of 24-36 hours.

We're really excited to have this special, juicy, and complex coffee!

Santa Barbara Estate is composed of 5 sister farms that lie across three neighbouring, geographical regions - Santa Barbara, Fredonia and Amagá. Established in the 1980s, the area has a diverse microclimate, volcanic soils, perfect altitude, and a long tradition of coffee growing.

All of the natural processing of coffee takes place at Agualinda, one of the five Santa Barbara sister farms. Agualinda is the highest farm in the estate, named beautiful water for the many water sources and creeks found on the property.

This a delicious and well structured fruity coffee, with a smooth body. We taste passion fruit, strawberry yoghurt, and violet floral notes.

Our latest coffee is the Bombe, from Ethiopia. Named after the Bombe mountains in the Bensa district of the Sidama region in southern Ethiopia. This coffee is processed by a variation of the traditional washed process, but with no water used in temperature-controlled fermentation tanks after the fruit has been removed from the seed. This results in a complex, fruity flavour coffee as well as the added bonus of using considerably less water.

A complex coffee with florals you would expect from a high-grown Ethiopian coffee, pls the dry fermentation adding an extra oomph of fruitiness.

This Burundi coffee is approachable and delicious, great for everyday drinking but still complex. We get red berry sweetness, with a sticky caramel body and a cut of orange citrus. Highly versatile, this coffee should work well however you brew.

Maridadi

Hugo Abraham Alvarado is a young coffee producer that has 25 hectares of coffee in the La Union area of Copan. After trying to produce microlots last year, but realising the picking was letting the coffee down quality-wise, Hugo doubled down and got everything right this year — even with increased rains during the harvest and a lack of pickers meanings that large amounts of coffee was lost. We’re very grateful to have this coffee, and look forward to trying more from Hugo.

This is a big bold, delicious coffee. We’re saying black forest gâteau, chocolate, and hazelnut, so think forest berries and dessert, lots of dessert.

Gatare is one the oldest washing stations in the country, dating back to 2003 and has a long reputation for processing very high quality coffee for export.
This is a complex natural coffee with a jammy mouthfeel and lots of fruity flavours.

Gatare, Rwanda

La Lomita is our latest release, a sweet and fruit washed Colombian coffee with hints of chocolate.

La Lomita is a family run business with more that 40 years of experience and commitment to the ethical production of the the finest Colombian coffee. The farm employs 3 permanent workers whose salaries are 38% over the Colombian minimum wage. Every member the team also has free housing and public services. La Lomita works hard to reduce maintain and improve their agricultural practices and the farm dedicates 40% of its land as a forest reserve and sanctuary to local fauna.

Esmerita walks every day with her husband the 45-50 minute journey up to her farm to pick ripened coffee cherries, relying on her mule to carry the coffee down the mountainside.

As well as growing local varieties such as Red Caturra & Bourbon, Esmerita is fortunate to also produce a small amount of Geisha on her farm. This was after Esmerita received a selection of seeds from a passing traveller who, without explaining the variety, told Esmerita the seeds would produce excellent quality coffee. Esmerita has decided to name her farm Esperanza, translating as ‘hope’ after planting these mystery seeds.

The resulting coffee is clean and sweet, like ripe nectarine and honey, we're really happy to have this Peruvian coffee in our offering.

Esmerita Vazquez Ramirez

The Wosasa from Ethiopia is a lot named after the village where the 25 smallholders who grow this coffee live. Every producer has only a small amount of land and grows their coffee in the shade of indigenous trees. The Wosasa is big and fruity, with a floral jasmine finish.

The Ngandu PB lot was produced by smallholder farmers, all of whom are members of the Rutuma Farmers Cooperative delivering to Ngandu Coffee Factory. The factory is located near the town of Karatina, in Kenya’s Nyeri County. The resulting lot is a fine example of a Kenyan coffee and typical of its origin. Expect sweet blackcurrant and vanilla.

We’re so excited to have Segundo Ortiz back for the second year running. From the Cedro Alto Collective, a truly transparent collective in Colombia, we have this coffee from Finca Alto Roblalito, tasting even better than last year. Expect sweet fruit, jammy fruit, and then some more fruit.

The Kiangai from Kenya is complex and sweet, perfect for summer brews. The Kibirigwi Kiangai washing station was created in 1953, at the same time the group of farmers decided to establish the Kibirigwi Farmers Coop Society. The water used for the processing comes from the Kibirigwi river, hence the name, which is 50m from the factory..

Although coffee was introduced to Vietnam in the 1800s, its commercial surge only took off around the mid-1980s. Pivotal administrative reforms propelled Vietnam from holding a modest 1% share in global coffee trade to its position as the second-largest producing nation in the world. While this rapid ascent prioritised volume over quality, with Robusta reigning supreme, the varieties of Arabica species remain less common in the region and are sought after as a treasured rarity.

Through continuous training in superior agricultural practices, around 500 families in the Dung K’No commune, for whom coffee farming is often the sole source of cash earnings, have been able to elevate their coffee's quality. We're thrilled to share this top-notch lot with you.

We cherish this coffee from Coffee Gardens' micro-processing station, both for its exceptional flavour and the company's commitment to ethical practices. This is the second coffee we've sourced through Coffee Gardens. They collaborate with small-scale producers to boost their livelihoods through sustainable farming. They offer targeted training, covering agroforestry and organic techniques, to local farmers. This specific micro-lot coffee comes from 275 farmers living in the mountains above their washing station.

A noteworthy 17% of these farmers are women, each contributing to this rich blend while earning extra income. Additionally, the company invests in reforestation and conservation, fighting climate change and preserving biodiversity. They prioritize supply chain transparency, aiming to forge long-term relationships with farmers and communities.
